Explore the art of Dreaming through clarity of sight and sound with Toltec teachers Anthony Flores and Laura Toups in a heart-opening environment that holds the expression of light in the physical. Laura and Anthony will support your work with the surrounding beings of earth and sky to allow the shifting of awareness from a grounded and centered foundation, accomplished through the use of tools both energetic and practical.
As artists our intent will be the explosion into a crescendo of profound connection with our individual soul of creativity and manifestation. This five-day workshop will explore dreaming techniques, traditional Toltec methods of perception, toning and resonance, and visual projection. By using these tools to facilitate divine connection, we as humans can tap into our soul of creativity and unlimited potential.
Anthony Flores and Laura Toups share a passion for art and sound and how to use all of our senses to manifest our dreams. The workshop will use meditation, writing, visual art projects, sounding, chanting, sacred objects and dreaming as pathways to open your heart, express your own creativity and turn that inspiration into action. Supported by the beauty in this remote retreat center you will be inspired to practice mindful connection to Mother Earth.
Anthony, an accomplished visual and vocal artist has spent all of his life learning to navigate the dreamtime within a physical body. He holds a degree in Fine Arts and Film Production and has had years of Operatic training with various teachers since he was 8. He will share techniques to experiment with awake and sleeping dreams and how to use art in opening your awareness. Anthony has been exploring and using various indigenous mythical traditions to support his own awakening for most of his life. He began his formal Toltec training with Heather Ash in 1996.
Laura has been fascinated with sacred places since finding inspiration for connecting to the Divine in a mountain stream over 30 years ago. It led her to become an environmental engineer, participate in the design of cities and to build the retreat facilities at Soaring Hawk Ranch. Studies of the music of 12th century mystic, Hildegard of Bingen 10 years ago focused her intent on the healing qualities of sound and music. She will share teachings on sound, chant, listening and creating sacred objects. Laura has been studying with Toltec teachers HeatherAsh and Raven Smith since 2007.
Trailer with beds - $585; Camping site- $495; A deposit of $150 will hold a space open for you. The price includes all food for the retreat. We will make one airport run into Midland/Odessa airport, otherwise transportation is on your own. The class is limited to 12 participants. The Big Bend area of Texas is one of the most remote places in the United States, and its beauty is breathtaking. Come stay at the Soaring Hawk Ranch retreat center under one of the most brilliant skies you will every see and deepen your connection to the Divine. Soaring Hawk Ranch is a rustic retreat center; beds are in small, comfortable little vintage trailers; teaching will happen outdoors. Trailers have bathrooms and there is a bath house as well. We are providing all meals and it is included in the price; Accommodations in trailers are shared and camping (bring your own gear) is available with access to bathhouse with shower and toilets.
